At Forest Gate Church we believe everyone has a role to play. In the Bible we read of the model of a 'body' where Christ is the head and each part does its work, complimenting each other. That's the model we employ at Forest Gate Church. The work of the Church requires everyone, and the only reason our Church can function is due to the ever faithful volunteers through all areas of Church life.

Louise Jones
Louise is employed by the church to head up the pastoral care at Forest Gate. She is the main point of contact for the community and oversees the day-to-day operation of the church. Along with this, she manages the parent and toddler group, Little Sprouts.
Louise is married to Steve and they have three grown-up children. They also have a dalmatian called Archie.
Louise and Steve volunteer as part of the worship and speaking team, along with heading up one of the home groups.

John Trueman
John, and his wife Mel, live in the nearby village of Longhope. They have 3 grown-up children now living away from home, and a golden doodle dog called Daisy. John is now retired from his job as a Managing Director of a local mechanical and electrical building services engineering company.
John is also part of the worship team and Melanie is part of our Kids Church Team and runs our CAP workshops and courses.
John and Melanie love walking their dog and spending time in God's beautiful creation.

Matt is our Youth Pastor and oversees all aspects of the youth work at Forest Gate. He works locally for a global insurance company as a Graphic Designer. Matt is married to Sarah with 2 young boys.
Matt is also the drummer in the church worship band.

Kathy leads the Kids Workshops at Forest Gate. She works part-time at the local primary school as a family support worker.

He is also playing football for the British Medical Football Team as a Goalkeeper.

Karen gave up her role with Gloucester City Mission in November 2021 to move to the Isle of Anglesey. Whilst she has joined a new church on the island Karen is keen to maintain a link with Forest Gate Church and was happy to continue as a Director.
Karen lives alone and loves walking, sea swimming and scouring beaches for sea glass!
