Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe that the Bible – both old and new testaments, was written under the inspiration of God and that it is fully trustworthy as the basis for our faith, conduct and practice.
    (2 Tim 3:16. 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • We believe that there is one true God – perfect and eternal who exists in 3 persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
    (Gen 1:1. John 17:5)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man.  He was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, performed miracles, suffered and died on a cross and rose again bodily to restore our relationship with God.  He is now in Heaven interceding for us and He will return visibly one day in Glory and power.
    (Col 1:15, 2:9. Acts 1:10-11.)

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance and then lives in us so that we are empowered to live a Godly life, and that His gifts are present within the body of Christ- the Church.
    (John 14:15-21. Eph 5:18. 1 Cor 12:7-11)

  • We believe in the dignity of all people, made in God’s image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin which incurs divine anger and judgement.
    (Romans 3:10-26. Eph 2:1-3)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, through His suffering, death and resurrection, has made reconciliation to God possible for all. That repentance of sin to God, faith in the lord Jesus Christ, redemption through His blood, and regeneration by the Holy spirit are essential to salvation.
    (2 Cor 5:17-21. Col 1:21-22. Romans 3:21-24. Eph 2:4-9.)

  • We believe that as expressions of faith in Jesus, water baptism by immersion and communion (the Lord’s supper) are to be observed by the Church, but they are not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
    (Matt 28:19-20. Luke 22:14-20. 1 Cor 11:25-29.)

  • We believe in the unity of the body of Christ, and that we should love and have fellowship with all who recognise and confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
    (John 10:16,17:20-23. Eph 2:15-22, 4:4-13.)

  • We believe in the resurrection of all people for judgement, where believers will enjoy life with Christ forever, and those who rejected Him will be separated from God forever.
    (Romans 2:5-11. 1 Cor 15:2-23, 50-57.)

  • We believe that it is our privilege and responsibility to share the good news of Jesus by our words and actions with everyone.
    (Phil 2:14-16)
